Learn how to calm teenage anxiety and manage it in a healthy way.
Are you a parent who knows their teen struggles with anxiety?
Teens experience higher levels of anxiety when it comes to certain areas of their life, such as academics, personal relationships, social media, their identity.
When these feelings become overwhelming, it tends to interfere with their daily functioning. You may notice them struggling with time-management, find themselves drowning in school work, constantly are down and feeling tired.
In these moments, it is important to address the issue and create an individualized action plan that helps them develop adaptive coping strategies to manage their symptoms, reduce their anxieties and improve their overall well-being.
My Journey with Teenage Anxiety & How I Overcame It
During my late teenage years and into my early 20s, I struggled with anxiety and a set of limiting beliefs that kept me feeling stuck and in victim mode. I often doubted myself, worried excessively about what others thought, and carried the weight of past experiences that I hadn't yet learned to process. I knew I needed to let go of old patterns and reframe my inner dialogue, but I didn't know where to start or who could guide me.
I had a strong passion for spirituality and personal growth, yet I struggled to find a community where I felt safe, understood, and supported. It wasn't until I reached out for help seeking guidance and connection that I began to uncover the underlying blocks that were holding me back from being my authentic self. Through this process, I learned to approach my experiences with curiosity instead of judgment, understanding them as opportunities to learn and grow rather than as definitions of who I was.
This journey taught me that anxiety, while overwhelming, doesn't have to define a person's life. By learning practical tools, developing self-awareness, and seeking supportive relationships, I was able to shift from feeling trapped by my thoughts to living with confidence and resilience. Now, as a coach, I bring this perspective to the teens I work with, helping them and their parents, navigate anxiety with compassion, understanding, and actionable strategies that truly work.
Teenagers need to invest in their relationship with themselves.
Prioritizing their relationship with themselves not only builds their self-awareness but equips them with the tools and resources to overcome various stressors in life. Nurturing this relationship at such a young age comes with many benefits.
